The Window to Our Soul - Writings & Poetry by kellen&co Before memories of abuse started to come to me I had never written a poem in my life. I hadn't journalled either. Nor had I seen any type of mental health professional. Poetry was my first form of journaling and my therapists and I would probably say it is what saved my life at the beginning of my treatment as I was totally shut down. These writings say the things that most times cannot be spoken out loud. I am now able to write a few more positive things. I would consider that to be progress in my healing journey.
