Survivor StoriesIntroduction Contained in this section of the site are the stories of individual survivors of child abuse with Dissociative Identity Disorder who are courageous and far enough along in their healing that they are willing to share their story of what happened to them. We hope you take the time to read each one as we all deserve to be heard. After all, we were silenced as children...it's about time someone heard us. All stories here have been submitted by members of the Multiple Paths To Healing - DID, a DID support community online message board forum. Please respect their privacy. Menu: Our Truth - The Story of kellen&co For a long time I would not, no, could not, speak of what had happened to me during my life. The "what, why, who, where, and when" of why I have Dissociative Identity Disorder and why my journey to healing has been so difficult. I finally decided that something positive needed to come from it all if possible. For me, that positive is the hope that by sharing my story others who have been abused will not feel so alone and have the sense of no self-worth that I have. And maybe...just maybe...others will find the courage to ask for help. If my speaking my truth helps one abused child or person that will be enough for me. Of course, I hope it helps many more than that. We should always hope. This link includes an article written about Suzy & Crew and an interview on CBC (Canadian Radio) that is done by she and others close to her.
